Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu celebrates the 52nd Anniversary of Independence and National Day

 

Kathmandu, 26 March 2023:

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu celebrated the 52nd Anniversary of Independence and National Day with due festivity. In the morning, the national flag was hoisted at the Embassy premises by Ambassador Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury. Special prayers were offered for continued peace and progress of the country and salvation of souls of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, his martyred family members, national leaders and martyrs of the glorious war of liberation. A discussion session was also held where messages given by the Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Foreign Minister and Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs were read out.

Earlier, on 20th March 2023, the Embassy organized a diplomatic reception which was attended by a large number of guests. Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha graced the event as chief guest. It was attended by political leaders, diplomats, high civil and military officials and members of civil society as well as the Bangladesh community living in Nepal.
